So you can plan with confidence, here is what no plan includes today (also listed on /facts).
- Passkey sign-in (WebAuthn) is not live on preparedboard.com. It is built but switched off until it has been tested end to end.
- Enterprise single sign-on (SAML and OIDC) is built but not live on preparedboard.com. It turns on for an organization only once its identity provider is connected and its email domain is mapped. It signs people in to the board seats they already hold, never grants admin rights, and every sign-in is logged.
- SCIM directory sync is not live on preparedboard.com. It is built but switched off, so members are added by invitation.
- No bank, treasury, or payment account is connected. Prepared does not move money or show a live balance.
- There is no live filing feed to the IRS, a Secretary of State, county registry, or town clerk, and no Form 990 or state-charity e-file. /app/filings-window is a board-declared board-review window with an in-app attestation that the board reviewed a board copy — not IRS or state acceptance. Calendar filing rows remain reminders. Documents in a pack are board copies, not proof a filing was accepted.
- Customer-managed encryption keys (BYOK) are not live.
- No independent security audit or certification yet.
Process record
Prepared with a process record — exposed without one
Directors are judged on process as much as outcomes. Courts and counterparties ask what you reviewed, who was conflicted, what evidence closed the vote, and whether oversight systems existed. A board that keeps that record feels prepared. A board that cannot produce it feels exposed — not because software is magic, but because memory and email threads are a weak defense of process.
Prepared doesn't make your decisions. It keeps the record that shows how you made them.
With a documented process
- You can show materials were published before a material vote — not reconstructed later.
- Recusals, related-party tags, and closure evidence sit on the decision record.
- Policy acknowledgments, attendance, risk reviews, and board-proof summaries are countable.
- Investors, auditors, and counsel can request a diligence snapshot or board-proof link.
Without a process record
- You may not be able to show what the board reviewed before a major vote.
- Conflicts may live only in conversation — not on the decision.

- Can I pay for Prepared Board today?
- Not by card. Not available yet: online checkout and the self-serve billing portal. Nothing is charged automatically today, and there are no per-seat charges — the list prices below are per board. To start a paid tier, use the interest form on the home page (it stores your answers in Prepared's database and sends no email) or create an account at /register.
- What is free forever?
- Trying the five demo boards, the decision templates, guides, Insights essays, the agents hub, /facts, /llms.txt, and pack /agent URLs on published packs. The full-record ZIP export is never a paid feature at any tier.
- How is Prepared Board metered?
- Per board, not per seat. Each tier has a soft participant cap; observers, guests, and presenters are free and unlimited. Over a soft cap: $15 per participant per month on annual billing.
- Is there a nonprofit discount?
- Yes. Registered 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations get 30% off list on Prep, Meeting, and Governance. Same product, no stripped-down SKU.
- What does Portfolio add for investors today?

- No. Copy for your agent, pack /agent URLs, and connecting your own assistant to the MCP server (read-only plus drafting questions, when your chair allows it) are in every tier. Prepared does not call any AI model.
