Agents
How a board can collaborate with outside AI agents using Prepared Board's public citation surfaces. Matches what we publish on /facts and /agent-facts.json. As of 2026-10-10.
What this is
Prepared Board is a board decision OS. Outside agents with a page-only view should reach the same answer as a code-reading agent: what the product does today, which demos exist, and what is not live.
Want your own assistant to read your board directly? Connect it over MCP (personal access token; off until your chair allows it). Building an integration? See the agent API reference.
Prefer a walkthrough? How boards collaborate with agents — try a demo, copy a briefing or fetch a pack /agent URL, paste into your outside agent, and cite /facts and /llms.txt. Investors grounding their own agents: For investors' agents (sponsor /sponsor/{token}/agent, demo sample decision record; portfolio digest; diligence markdown). HowTo for citing a diligence snapshot: /agents/cite-diligence.
Need the whole list in one place? Jump to the cite & paste map — every live path, public or signed-in, with a real example.
Closing the loop on a meeting: after you copy a briefing (or fetch a pack /agent URL) and paste it into the agent you already use, that agent can return clarifying questions in a fixed one-per-line format. On the meeting page you paste them into Pre-meeting Q&A, mark them agent-assisted, and tick that you reviewed them — you remain the author. The chair sees a consolidated view with an agent-assisted badge and can copy all questions for their own agent. Still copy/paste only; no MCP, no agent login, no API keys. Walkthrough: How boards collaborate with agents.
Closing the loop on a decision: a Director, Chair, Secretary, Admin, Owner, or CEO can paste Outside agent input onto the decision — title, source (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or Other), and the pasted analysis. Each paste is its own record with the badge Pasted by {name} — not verified by the board — not a vote. It is not minutes and not an evaluation response. Copy for your agent lists those pastes with the same labels. Observers do not see them on privileged / executive-session or observer-recused decisions. Demo: Northlight Series B. Still copy/paste only.
Cite & paste map
Every live path a chair or an outside agent can use today to bring board context into an agent, or to check what Prepared Board actually does. Each link below is a real route; the demo examples resolve on the seeded boards.
Public — no sign-in
An outside agent can fetch or cite these directly.
- Pack agent context· Agent fetches URL
Add /agent to a pack link for plain-text markdown: organization, board, meeting, agenda, pack decisions, conflicts and recusals noted on the pack, material titles. Same token gate as the human pack; bad, revoked, or expired links return 404; read-only.
Who: Anyone holding a valid pack link — share real links only with agents you trust.
- Sample decision record· Read
A complete closed decision: resolution, meeting and date, minutes status, vote tally, recusals, closure evidence titles, follow-up actions, and outcome monitors. Your own board's records stay private to your board.
Who: Anyone. It is a fictional company's record, labeled as a sample.
- Sample record, plain text· Agent fetches URL
The same sample decision record as plain-text markdown, so an agent can see what a finished, citeable board decision looks like.
Who: Anyone, including an agent you point at it.
- /llms.txt· Cite
Short plain-text product truth with the same limits as /facts.
Who: Any page-only agent.
- /facts· Cite
What Prepared Board does today, demo boards, what is not live, and how to verify.
Who: Humans and agents.
- /agent-facts.json· Cite
The same claims as /facts, as JSON (doesToday, notLive, verify).
Who: Machine readers.
- Sponsor proof share (agent)· Agent fetches URL
Plain-text Board decision quality proof at /sponsor/{token}/agent (demo: Piscataqua → Seacoast Conservation Fund). Same withholding as the human share page; invalid/expired/revoked → 404. Human page has Copy for your agent.
Who: Anyone holding a valid chair-granted sponsor share link — not a board seat.
- Cite a diligence snapshot (HowTo)· Read
HowTo: request chair diligence markdown or sponsor /agent proof; refuse invented audit reports/filings; demo paths. JSON-LD HowTo + FAQ.
Who: Investor agents and chairs grounding diligence asks.
- For investors' agents· Read
Step-by-step: cite /facts and /llms.txt, fetch sponsor /agent, optional portfolio digest and diligence markdown. Hard rules against inventing MCP, SSO, or agent seats.
Who: VCs, PE, LPs, and sponsors grounding their outside agents.
- How boards collaborate with agents· Read
Step-by-step walkthrough: try a board, copy or fetch, paste, cite.
Who: Chairs and secretaries.
- Bring your agent to the board table· Read
Thought-leadership essay on grounded collaboration and what not to invent.
Who: Directors weighing whether to let an agent help.
Signed-in — a member copies, then pastes
Only rows the member can already see; Prepared sends nothing.
- Copy for your agent· Copy & paste
On a decision (/app/decisions/…) or meeting (/app/meetings/…), the Bring your agent in panel (#agent-briefing) copies or downloads (.md) a markdown briefing of that board's rows the member can see — no document bodies, not-legal-advice + not-live footer.
Who: Any signed-in member who can open that decision or meeting (try it as a demo chair from /#try-a-board).
- Outside agent input on a decision· Copy & paste
Paste an outside agent's analysis onto a decision (title, source label, body). Stored as OutsideAgentInput — not a vote, not minutes, not an evaluation response. Badge: Pasted by {name} — not verified by the board — not a vote. Listed in Copy for your agent. Observers withheld on privileged / exec / observer-recused decisions. Demo: Northlight Series B.
Who: Director, Chair, Secretary, Admin, Owner, or CEO who can open the decision.
- Copy digest for your agent· Copy & paste
Cross-board decision digest (30 days, 90 days, or since each board's last meeting) with a ranked needs-attention list; copy or Download .md. No cross-board outcome score.
Who: A signed-in member, covering only boards where they hold an ACTIVE membership.
- Copy proof for your agent· Copy & paste
Board decision quality proof: closed decisions this year with vote outcome, stored recusals, closure evidence, monitors due, COI and onboarding still owed, last sealed pack. Not legal advice, not an audit opinion.
Who: Chair, Admin, or Owner of that board.
- Copy snapshot for your agent· Copy & paste
Fundraising / follow-on diligence snapshot: closed decisions with vote, recusals, evidence; open items; COI; observers; pack timeliness; reserved matters, related-party, committee charters, questionnaires when present. Copy + Download .md. Not a securities disclosure.
Who: Chair, Admin, or Owner of that board.
Not on this map (not live)
- No MCP server.
- No agent identity or agent sign-in; agents never hold a board seat or account.
- Prepared does not call, connect to, or send anything to an agent — a member copies and pastes, or an agent fetches a public URL.
- SSO, passkeys (WebAuthn), and BYOK are not live.
Portfolio for investors and multi-board directors
Signed-in members can open /app/portfolio to roll up decision quality across every board where they hold an ACTIVE membership — live meeting, closed record with evidence, open actions, overdue monitors, and incomplete COI or onboarding when their role can see them. A labeled sponsor-view demo strip links the five seeded packs and try-a-board; it does not claim ownership of those boards. No SSO or billing on this surface. Sponsors and LPs: see /for/investors for the requirement checklist template and Portfolio pricing pointer.
For an agent: on /app/portfolio#portfolio-digest the cross-board decision digest has Copy digest for your agent (and Download .md) — only boards where you hold an ACTIVE membership, no cross-board outcome score. A Chair, Admin, or Owner can also open /app/board-proof and use Copy proof for your agent for one board's decision quality proof (not legal advice, not an audit opinion). Both are copy and paste; Prepared sends nothing.
How a board brings an agent in today
- Point the agent at /llms.txt (plain text) or /agent-facts.json (JSON). Both state the same limits as /facts.
- Let the agent try a seeded board from sample decision record. The chooser only signs into the five demo chair accounts and refuses any other email.
- For real board work, a signed-in member uses Copy for your agent on a decision or meeting and pastes the briefing into the agent the board already uses.
Copy for your agent (in the app)
Pasteable in-app briefings are live. Copy for your agent is live. Any signed-in member who can open a decision or a meeting sees a “Bring your agent in” panel near the top of that page (anchor #agent-briefing). Try it from sample decision record after signing into a demo chair account.
- Open a decision (
/app/decisions/…) or a meeting and its pack (/app/meetings/…). - Click Copy for your agent. The markdown goes to your clipboard. Download .md saves the same text as a file, and Preview what gets copied shows it first.
- Paste it into the agent you already use (Claude, ChatGPT, or another assistant) and ask your question — draft the minutes language, check open actions before the next meeting, or list what is missing before a vote.
What the briefing contains: organization, meeting title, date and status, decisions with status, outcome, and rationale when recorded, conflicts and recusals, open actions, outcome monitors and revisit dates, evidence document titles, and the meeting seat-count line when attendance is marked. It contains only rows from that board that you can already see. Document bodies are not included. A footer says it is a board-exported briefing, not legal advice, and lists what is not live, pointing back to /facts.
Prepared does not call any AI model or push anything to an agent. A member copies and pastes, or — when the chair allows it — connects their own assistant to the MCP server (read-only plus drafting questions) with a personal access token (/agents/connect).
Show your agent a finished decision record
The sample decision record is a complete closed decision for a fictional company, with a plain-text version at /sample-decision/export.md. Your own board's records stay private to your board.
A finished record shows the resolution, meeting and date, minutes status, the vote tally, recusals, closure evidence titles (no file contents), follow-up actions, and outcome monitors. Restricted, executive-session, counsel, and committee-only materials are left out. Use it to show an agent what a finished, citeable board decision looks like before you paste your own board's briefing.
The sample is labeled as a sample — not a real board’s record, not a legal opinion, not a filing.
Citation surfaces
- /agents/for-investors — how an investor's agent uses sponsor proof, digest, and diligence.
- /llms.txt — short plain-text file for agents.
- /facts — human-readable product facts.
- /agent-facts.json — machine-readable same claims.

Not live
Do not invent live MCP, SSO, WebAuthn, SCIM, bank, filing, or BYOK claims. Copy for your agent is copy and paste only; it does not connect Prepared to any agent.
- Passkey sign-in (WebAuthn) is not live on preparedboard.com. It is built but switched off until it has been tested end to end.
- Enterprise single sign-on (SAML and OIDC) is built but not live on preparedboard.com. It turns on for an organization only once its identity provider is connected and its email domain is mapped. It signs people in to the board seats they already hold, never grants admin rights, and every sign-in is logged.
- SCIM directory sync is not live on preparedboard.com. It is built but switched off, so members are added by invitation.
- Stripe billing is built but not live. Checkout, the customer portal, signed webhooks, and plan gating turn on only once production Stripe credentials are connected; until then billing pages say Billing not live yet — contact sales, plans are not enforced, and nothing is charged. Seat meters are not built.
- ASPA is not implemented. Quorum is a seat count from board settings plus Present or Remote attendance. It is not a statutory opinion, and there is no ASPA written-consent engine.
- Prepared does not quote, bind, or broker D&O insurance and is not carrier-connected. /app/do-insurance is a board-declared binder/policy-date tracker with an in-app board-review attestation only — not an insurance application, not coverage advice, and not a verified coverage amount. An annual director questionnaire tracker at /app/questionnaires can record board-declared checklist attestations in-app.
- No bank, treasury, or payment account is connected. Prepared does not move money or show a live balance.
- There is no live filing feed to the IRS, a Secretary of State, county registry, or town clerk, and no Form 990 or state-charity e-file. /app/filings-window is a board-declared board-review window with an in-app attestation that the board reviewed a board copy — not IRS or state acceptance. Calendar filing rows remain reminders. Documents in a pack are board copies, not proof a filing was accepted.
- Outbound email is not live in the demo. Delivery is reported only after a configured provider (Resend or Postmark) returns HTTP 2xx. Without those credentials, no send is claimed.
- There is no Clear evaluation response action. A director can Retract a response. Clearing is not a product path.
- The onboarding checklist row labeled portal access verified (MFA) is a checkbox the board marks; it does not inspect accounts. Two-factor sign-in itself is live (authenticator app, optional per member, can be required per board by the chair).
- Customer-managed encryption keys (BYOK) are not live.
- No independent security audit or certification yet.
- Prepared does not auto-delete or auto-purge documents. /app/document-retention is a board-declared category schedule with an in-app Adopted / board-reviewed attestation only — template aid, not legal counsel, and not a compliance determination.
- A paid recruiter tier (higher contact limits / commercial shortlists) is planned, not live. Billing checkout is built but not live until production credentials are connected.
- Newsletter confirmation and issue send are not live — no email provider is connected. Signups stay PENDING; Approved issues are not emailed.
- Uploaded files are not antivirus-scanned. PDFs pass strict structural validation (no encryption, JavaScript, embedded files, launch or form-submit actions) before storage; that is not a malware scan. Upload only files from sources you trust.
- Database point-in-time restore covers the last 6 hours only; there is no longer-term or off-provider database backup yet, and uploaded files have no point-in-time restore.
